In a local online group, you’ll often see someone thanking a stranger for an act of kindness, often the kind that happens in drive-thru windows. Someone has paid for their coffee or their lunch and they just had to come share and say how it brightened their day.

May report that they paid the gift forward by paying for the car behind them.
These posts are ripples and who knows what they inspire? When we read about people in our neighborhood doing kind things, are we more likely to find a way to be kind? It seems so.
Maybe we even come to think of ourselves as the kind of person who does kind things because we obviously live in a kind community.
